Boston, MA On Friday at around 4:45 PM, members of the Fugitive Unit apprehended Rasheedah Hughes, 40, of Boston near Hammond Street. She was arrested on an outstanding warrant related to the murder of Celia Simmons, 65, of Boston. Hughes is scheduled to be arraigned at Roxbury District Court on Monday, December 23.
The initial incident occurred on Saturday, November 16, at 12:48 PM, when officers from District D-4 (South End/Back Bay) were dispatched to a stabbing at Ramsey Park, 1917 Washington St. Upon their arrival, they found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. Boston EMS transported the victim to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. The victim was identified as Celia Simmons.
