Macon, NC – The Macon County Sheriff’s Office recently hosted its annual Shop with a Cop event, providing a festive Christmas experience for about 233 local children.
Support from organizations and individuals through generous donations made the event possible. Children were able to shop for gifts and then gathered at the FHS cafeteria to enjoy pizza with officers.
During the event, participants took photos with Santa and received books from the Read•2•Me program to foster a love for reading. Sheriff Brent Holbrooks expressed commitment to continuing the event as long as he remains in office.
