WASHINGTON, D.C. — An 18-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday evening inside a residential building in Southeast Washington, police said.
The incident occurred on December 18 at approximately 6:43 p.m., when Seventh District officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2600 block of Stanton Road SE. Inside the building, officers discovered Terrell Oliver, a Southeast D.C. resident, unconscious and suffering from gunshot wounds.
DC Fire and EMS arrived on the scene but found no signs of life. Oliver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police Department is actively investigating the homicide and is urging anyone with information to contact them at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to identify the person or persons responsible for Oliver’s death.
