Police seek public's help in search for missing Newark man

NEWARK, N.J. — Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Jason Gray, 45, a Newark resident who has been missing since late November.

Gray, who works for NJ Transit, last communicated with his family on Friday, November 22, according to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. He has not been seen at his workplace, and neighbors near the 700 block of South Orange Avenue reported they have not seen him in several weeks.

Described as African-American, 5’9” tall, and weighing approximately 160 pounds, Gray has a bald head and brown eyes, detectives investigating the case said.

Officials encourage anyone with information about Gray’s whereabouts to contact the Newark Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Tips can be submitted anonymously and may be eligible for a reward.

Authorities continue to follow leads in the case as concerns grow for Gray’s safety.
