TOMS RIVER, N.J. – The Toms River Township Council and Mayor Dan Rodrick celebrated the promotions and swearing-in and promotions of 12 officers during Wednesday night’s meeting.
Promotions included Chief Peter Sundack, Captain Guy Maire, and Lieutenants Daniel Ruiz, Theodore Malony, and Andrew Chencharik. Newly promoted sergeants include Brian Appleby, Adam Worth, Matthew Crosta, and Nicholas Franco, while Taylor Boschetti, Christopher Serpico, and Hunter Calvetto joined as patrolmen.

Mayor Rodrick, who officiated the ceremony, thanked Chief Sundack for his leadership and noted that these additions follow the expansion of the police EMS service to include eight new Civilian Safety Officers and multiple special police officers.
The department praised the newly promoted and hired officers for their dedication and emphasized the importance of a strengthened force in serving the community.
