WASHINGTON, D.C.Police have arrested a man in connection with a burglary in Northeast Washington that was captured on video earlier this month.

The incident occurred on Monday, December 2, around 9:36 p.m., when a resident of the 1400 block of G Street, Northeast, returned home to find property missing. Surveillance footage later revealed a suspect stealing items from the residence. The images were shared in a police news release and distributed to officers.

On Monday, December 16, Fifth District officers recognized the individual seen in the footage. Police identified the suspect as 31-year-old Allen Moore of Northeast D.C., who was taken into custody and charged with burglary two and theft.

The arrest came nearly two weeks after the initial break-in, highlighting the role of surveillance footage in assisting investigators.
