ALLERTON, BRONX — An off-duty employee of the Bronx District Attorney’s Office was arrested early Wednesday morning on an assault charge, police said.

Sabrina Lora, 25, was taken into custody at 1:52 a.m. within the confines of the 49th Precinct, which covers neighborhoods including Allerton, Morris Park, and Pelham Parkway. Lora is facing a charge of third-degree assault, a misdemeanor under New York State law.

Authorities have not disclosed details about the incident that led to the arrest or whether it was related to her role at the Bronx DA’s office. The office has not issued a statement regarding Lora’s employment status or the allegations against her.

Third-degree assault involves intentionally or recklessly causing physical injury to another person, according to the state penal code. Information about the alleged victim or the circumstances of the case has not been made public.

This arrest comes as public employees, including those in law enforcement and prosecutorial roles, face heightened scrutiny to uphold standards of conduct.
