BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — A lucky Powerball player is $50,000 richer after purchasing a third-tier winning ticket at the Perry Hall BP station in Nottingham for the December 16 drawing.
The winning ticket was sold at 8809 Belair Road and matched four of the five white balls plus the red Powerball. Monday night’s winning numbers were 9, 30, 33, 57, 61, and the Powerball was 17, with a Power Play multiplier of x2.
This marks Maryland’s 59th third-tier Powerball prize of 2024. Additionally, 7,152 other Maryland players won prizes ranging from $4 to $100. With no jackpot winner in Monday’s drawing, the grand prize has risen to an estimated $69 million for the Wednesday, December 18 drawing, with a cash option of $32.2 million.
Meanwhile, Mega Millions returns tonight with a massive estimated jackpot of $740 million, or a $342.9 million cash option, making it one of the largest prizes in the game’s history.
Lottery officials remind all winners to sign the backs of their tickets and store them safely until prizes are claimed.
