PITTSBURGH, Pa. — A Pennsylvania Lottery player hit the jackpot with a Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket worth over $3 million in the December 13 drawing, making Friday the 13th a very lucky day in Allegheny County.
The winning ticket, sold at Giant Eagle located at 910 Freeport Road in Pittsburgh, matched all five numbers — 1, 34, 37, 40, and 42 — to claim the $3,057,169.50 jackpot. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Lottery officials said more than 48,800 other Cash 5 with Quick Cash tickets also won prizes in the same drawing, and players are encouraged to check their tickets carefully.
The jackpot winner has one year to claim their prize, while Quick Cash prizes must be claimed within one year of the purchase date. Anyone holding the winning ticket should contact their nearest Lottery office or call 1-800-692-7481 for assistance.
This $3 million win marks one of the largest Cash 5 jackpots in recent history for the Pennsylvania Lottery.
