NEWARK, N.J. — Commuters are facing numerous delays across New Jersey highways and major crossings Friday morning due to volume, disabled vehicles, and other incidents.

A disabled vehicle on the New Jersey Turnpike’s Western Spur northbound near Interchange 15W in Newark has blocked the center lane as of 8:02 a.m. Meanwhile, a disabled vehicle on the Goethals Bridge westbound is causing disruptions with one left lane blocked.

In Cinnaminson Township, a crash on NJ-73 northbound near Hylton Road has closed the left lane, resulting in delays of 5–10 minutes. Drivers are advised to use caution. Further south, NJ-35 southbound in Woodbridge Township remains affected by a water main break near CR-650, with one left lane closed since early morning.

Delays continue to build at major crossings into New York City. At the Holland Tunnel, travel times are currently 20 minutes from Turnpike Exit 14C and 25 minutes from NJ-139 at Tonnelle Circle. Similar delays are being reported at the Lincoln Tunnel, where both the center and south tunnels eastbound show a 25-minute travel time from Turnpike Exit 16E.

On the George Washington Bridge, the lower level eastbound has a travel time of 25 minutes, while the upper level eastbound faces a 40-minute backup from I-80 to the Alexander Hamilton Bridge.

Volume-related delays are widespread on New Jersey highways. The Garden State Parkway southbound has congestion exiting at Exit 130B-A in Woodbridge Township. Northbound, the Parkway is backed up for two miles between Exit 149 and Exit 151 in Bloomfield. Delays on I-295 northbound stretch from Exit 29 in Barrington to Exit 34 in Cherry Hill Township, while southbound delays extend from Exit 28 in Haddon Heights to Exit 26N in Bellmawr. NJ-55 and NJ-42 northbound are both experiencing significant slowdowns approaching their junctions with I-295.
