Here is Your Monday Morning New Jersey Commuter Traffic Report

NEWARK, N.J. — A crash on I-280 westbound at Exit 14E near King Street in Newark led to the closure of one left lane, adding to significant delays during Monday morning’s rush hour.

Multiple delays were reported across key roadways, including the Garden State Parkway northbound, which saw a 1.5-mile backup near Exit 89C in Lakewood due to an incident, and another 1.5-mile delay between Exit 148 in Bloomfield and the Essex Toll Plaza, attributed to heavy volume.

At major crossings into New York City, travel times were extended. The Lincoln Tunnel saw delays in both the center and south tunnels, with 40-minute travel times from New Jersey Turnpike Exit 16E to the New York side. The George Washington Bridge also reported 30-minute delays on both the upper and lower levels eastbound.

Additional slowdowns were observed on NJ 29 northbound in Trenton, NJ 495 eastbound in North Bergen, and the Pulaski Skyway northbound from South Kearny to Jersey City, with travel times ranging from 5 to 20 minutes.

Commuters faced widespread congestion as traffic conditions remained slow across much of the state during peak travel hours.
