COLUMBUS, OH — Larry J. “J Streets” Williams Jr., 43, was sentenced to life in federal prison after being convicted on 16 counts related to a violent drug conspiracy that left three people dead in 2018, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio announced.
Prosecutors say Williams played a central role in a robbery plot targeting a drug dealer’s marijuana and cash, but the scheme quickly spiraled into violence. In June 2018, during the robbery, Williams fatally shot Connor Reynolds, 23, who was not the intended target but a resident of the home where the robbery occurred.
Two months later, in August 2018, Williams murdered Henry Watson, 52, to prevent him from cooperating with law enforcement. Immediately after that killing, Williams murdered Tera Pennington, 48, a witness to Watson’s death.
The gruesome crime spree also involved the dismemberment and disposal of victims’ bodies, with remains scattered across Ohio, according to prosecutors.
Williams was convicted of all charges following a three-week trial before U.S. District Judge Michael H. Watson. The charges included multiple counts of murder, conspiracy, and other offenses stemming from the drug-related violence.
