BROOKLYN, N.Y. — An off-duty New York City Police Department school crossing guard was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with first-degree robbery, authorities said.
Juhrayjah Wooden, 33, was taken into custody at approximately 1:30 p.m. within the confines of the 77th Precinct in Brooklyn, according to police.
Wooden, an NYPD employee, now faces charges stemming from the incident. Details surrounding the alleged robbery have not been disclosed as the investigation continues.
The NYPD confirmed the arrest and stated that its Internal Affairs Bureau is aware of the case.
