Guttenberg, NJ – An East Orange man has been charged with murder following a death investigation involving two males in Guttenberg. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the arrest carried out by the Homicide Unit.
On Saturday, November 23, a report was made to the Guttenberg Police Department shortly after 10 p.m. concerning two unresponsive males at a residence on 71st Street. The deceased individuals were identified as Justo Bory, 87, and Ricardo Bory, 58, both residents of Guttenberg. Upon arrival, officers detained Lamont Cole, 40, of East Orange, for allegedly interfering with the investigation.
Following autopsies, the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office released findings on Monday, December 2, indicating that Justo Bory’s cause of death was neck compression, classified as a homicide. Consequently, Cole was formally charged with murder on Tuesday, December 3, at the Hudson County Correctional Facility. The investigation into Ricardo Bory’s cause of death remains ongoing.
