The U.S. Government declared Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop was nothing more than a Russian plot against America and Russian “disinformation”, in fact, the government, under President Joe Biden delivered a letter signed by ’51 intelligence officials’ confirming the cover story.
It was all a lie. The laptop was real and so was all of the shocking video, text and photo content on the device.
America’s deep state intelligence community is now running scared as Donald Trump is set to be the country’s next president in January. The country has lost all faith and confidence in the nation’s three-letter alphabet agencies for the kind of misinformation pushed on the people under the Biden administration.
New revelations have emerged from a joint interim staff report released by several House committees, shedding light on the involvement of CIA contractors and the Biden campaign in discrediting the Hunter Biden laptop story ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
The report, titled “The Intelligence Community 51: How CIA Contractors Colluded with The Biden Campaign to Mislead American Voters,” alleges that high-ranking CIA officials, including then-Director Gina Haspel, were aware of efforts to frame the Hunter Biden laptop story as “Russian disinformation.” The New York Post’s October 2020 report on Hunter Biden’s alleged influence-peddling was quickly dismissed by 51 former intelligence officials, who issued a statement claiming the story bore the “classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”
According to testimony cited in the report, the statement’s origin was a direct effort to aid Joe Biden’s presidential campaign. Former Deputy CIA Director Michael Morell testified that a call from Antony Blinken, then a top Biden campaign aide and now Secretary of State, prompted him to draft the statement. Morell admitted that the intent was to provide Biden with a political advantage during the final presidential debate.
Key Findings from the Report
- CIA Awareness and Approval
Senior CIA officials were reportedly informed of the statement before its release. Testimony from Andrew Makridis, the CIA’s Chief Operating Officer, indicated that either Director Haspel or Deputy Director Vaughn Frederick Bishop knew about the impending publication. Despite concerns raised by internal staff, the statement received tacit approval from leadership. - CIA Contractors’ Role
Several of the statement’s signatories were on active contract with the CIA at the time, despite claims they were “former” officials without access to classified information. The report names Michael Morell and former CIA Inspector General David Buckley as active contractors who played key roles in orchestrating the effort to discredit the Hunter Biden story. - Weaponization of Intelligence Titles
The report argues that the signatories leveraged their intelligence community credentials to lend credibility to the statement, further politicizing the intelligence apparatus. Internal CIA communications reportedly flagged the statement as politically motivated, warning that it could harm the Agency’s reputation. - Departure from Protocols
The process by which the statement was reviewed and released bypassed standard Prepublication Classification Review Board (PCRB) protocols. This deviation, the report claims, underscores the political nature of the effort.
A Politicized Intelligence Community?
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner condemned the coordination between the Biden campaign and intelligence officials. “This interim report underscores the risks posed by a weaponized federal government,” Jordan said.
The committees have been investigating the origins of the statement since April 2022, renewing efforts in early 2023 after Republicans gained control of the House. The report is based on classified documents, internal CIA emails, and testimony from key figures involved.
Implications for 2024 and Beyond
The new revelations come as Biden prepares to vacate the office of the President and intensify debates over the politicization of intelligence agencies. Critics argue that the Hunter Biden laptop controversy exemplifies how federal institutions can be co-opted for partisan purposes.
While the investigation is ongoing, the findings raise serious questions about the intersection of intelligence, politics, and media in shaping public perception during critical election moments.
