BRONX, NY — Authorities are searching for three men in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred late Sunday night in the Baychester section of the Bronx.
Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 10:50 p.m. on May 19 in the vicinity of 4032 Ely Avenue, where they discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds. A 30-year-old man, later identified as Joseph Johnson of Needham Avenue, was found with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead.
A 40-year-old man was also shot in the left leg and is currently listed in stable condition, according to authorities.
Investigators are seeking three individuals described as males with medium complexions, who were last seen wearing distinct outfits. One wore a navy blue and yellow hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants with a navy-blue baseball cap and blue sneakers. The second suspect was wearing a green Nike sweatshirt, black jeans, and black sneakers. The third suspect was dressed in a navy-blue hooded sweatshirt, navy blue sweatpants, and black and white sneakers.

Police have released surveillance images of the individuals and are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit tips through their website or social media platforms.
