WOODBRIDGE, VA — A 20-year-old woman was fatally shot during a domestic dispute at a Woodbridge residence Wednesday night, leading to the arrest of a family member on multiple charges, including second-degree murder.

Prince William County police responded to the 13500 block of Delaney Road at 8:50 p.m. on November 27 after receiving a call about a domestic altercation. The caller reported a dispute involving a family member and then stated gunshots were heard as they left the residence.

Upon arriving, officers detained the accused, identified as Anthony Antonio White Jr., 20, who was attempting to leave the home. Inside, officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper body. Police provided aid until emergency personnel transported the woman to a nearby hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

The investigation revealed that the accused and the victim were engaged in a physical altercation that escalated when White retrieved a firearm and shot the victim. Police have identified the accused as a resident of the home and confirmed he was taken into custody without incident.

White has been charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and domestic assault and battery. He is being held without bond, and a court date has not yet been set.
