Thanksgiving fire leaves family displaced, community rallies to help rebuild

LINDEN, NJ — The Elsieidy family is facing an immense challenge after an electrical fire on Thanksgiving night destroyed much of their home. Miraculously, all family members escaped safely, but their residence suffered near-total damage, leaving them to rebuild their lives from the ground up.

A GoFundMe campaign, organized by Karlie Elsieidy on behalf of her parents Reda and Hanan and brothers Ramy and Saif, has been launched to help the family recover. The funds will go toward temporary housing, replacing essential belongings, and beginning the long process of restoring their home.

“As you can imagine, the loss is overwhelming,” Karlie wrote on the fundraiser page. “This is where we can step in to support them.” The family is asking for donations to cover emergency expenses, including lodging, clothing, and basic household items.

The devastating fire has left the Elsieidy family without a home and grappling with uncertainty. The GoFundMe has already begun to draw support from community members, with donations helping to alleviate the immediate burden.

The campaign remains open for contributions, as neighbors, friends, and strangers work to support the Elsieidy family during this difficult time.
