TOWSON, Md. — Baltimore County Police apprehended five teenagers Saturday evening following an attempted carjacking on Dulaney Valley Road, authorities announced.
The incident occurred around 8 p.m. in the 800 block of Dulaney Valley Road when the teens allegedly attempted to carjack a vehicle, police said. Towson patrol officers, with assistance from detectives assigned to the Baltimore County Police Carjacking Team, quickly apprehended the suspects.
Police identified the teens as a 17-year-old female, a 16-year-old male, two 15-year-old males, and a 13-year-old male. Investigators revealed that four of the five suspects are also linked to a reported assault in the same area on the evening of November 29.
The circumstances of both incidents remain under investigation. Detectives are urging anyone with additional information to contact them at 410-887-2277.
In response to the incidents, police have increased patrols in the Towson area and plan to maintain an elevated law enforcement presence throughout the holiday season.
