CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Police are investigating a shooting that left a teenage male injured Saturday evening near Holly Cove Drive and Schooner Trail, according to the Chesapeake Police Department.

Officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area around 8:02 p.m. and later confirmed that the teen had been shot in the alley of the 4100 block of Schooner Trail. The victim had already left the scene by the time officers arrived.

The injured teen later showed up at a hospital, where authorities determined his injuries were non-life-threatening. The police have not released details about the circumstances of the shooting or any potential suspects.
