OCEAN COUNTY, N.J. — Bernard Lamont Proctor, 35, was taken into custody on December 1, 2024, and faces a range of serious charges related to weapons possession, drug distribution, and drug possession, according to inmate records.
Proctor was charged with several offenses, including unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a weapon while committing a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) crime, and possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school. Additional charges include possession of drug paraphernalia, multiple counts of possession of Schedule I-IV controlled substances, and distribution of heroin or cocaine under 0.5 ounces.
Authorities have noted that Proctor’s case includes a “Certain Person Not to Have Weapons” charge, indicating a prior conviction or restriction on gun ownership. He is currently being held without bail at the Ocean County Correctional Facility, as indicated by court records.
