PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, N.J. — New Jersey State Police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a road rage shooting that occurred Wednesday evening on Interstate 80 eastbound near exit 47B in Morris County.
According to authorities, the incident happened around 6:18 p.m. when the suspect, driving a silver minivan with an unknown Pennsylvania license plate, pulled alongside the victim’s blue Subaru Outback and fired at least one gunshot. The bullet struck the rear driver’s side window of the Subaru.
No injuries have been reported, and police have not yet identified the suspect.
Troopers from the Totowa Station are leading the investigation and are urging anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or observed events before or after the incident to contact their Detective Bureau at 973-785-9412.
Officials encourage those with information to come forward and note that anonymous tips are welcome.
