COLUMBIA, S.C. — A federal grand jury has indicted a 21-year-old Ohio man on six counts, including coercion and enticement of minors, production and distribution of child sexual abuse material, and cyberstalking, federal prosecutors announced Friday.

Jack Keegan Davis, of Columbus, Ohio, is accused of using social media platforms to target minors across multiple states, including South Carolina, from August 2022 to October 2024. According to the indictment, Davis operated at least 130 social media display names, posing as a minor to coerce victims into producing explicit material, which he then allegedly distributed to other minors, including classmates of one victim.

Prosecutors also allege Davis used the material to harass and threaten at least one minor victim and their family. Despite a restraining order, Davis continued to contact the victim and their family, reportedly issuing violent threats such as, “I’m going to kill [Victim] and [Victim’s] family,” and sharing the victim’s home address.

Davis was arrested by FBI agents in Ohio, where he was initially detained following a contested bond hearing. He was subsequently transported to South Carolina, where U.S. Magistrate Judge Paige J. Gossett ordered him held pending trial.

Davis faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison if convicted on the production of child sexual abuse material charge and a maximum of life imprisonment on the coercion and enticement charge. Additional penalties include fines, restitution, lifetime supervision upon release, and potential registration as a sex offender.

The case is being investigated by the FBI Columbia Field Office, the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office, and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio. U.S. Attorneys Elliott B. Daniels and Ariyana N. Gore are prosecuting the case.

A 21-year-old faces life in prison for allegedly exploiting minors through an extensive online scheme and issuing violent threats to victims and their families.
