BROOKLYN, NY — A Powerplay ticket sold in Brooklyn turned into a $150,000 payday for one lucky player in the Nov. 23 Powerball drawing, the New York Lottery announced.
The ticket was purchased at One Stop Food Center, located at 1076 New York Avenue, and matched four numbers plus the Power Ball, with the Powerplay option tripling the standard third-prize amount of $50,000.
Powerball numbers are drawn three times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays—at 10:59 p.m., with players able to select the optional Powerplay feature to multiply non-jackpot winnings. The winning numbers for the Nov. 23 drawing have yet to result in a claimed prize.
Lottery officials remind ticket holders to check their tickets and redeem prizes within one year from the date of the drawing.
