WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 16-year-old male has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Monday at Dunbar High School in Northwest, the Metropolitan Police Department announced Friday.
The incident took place on November 18 in the 100 block of N Street, Northwest, where the victim was robbed at gunpoint of their coat. On Thursday, November 21, officers responded to the same area for reports of a second sighting of the suspect. Upon arrival, officers located the teen and placed him under arrest.
The 16-year-old, a resident of Northwest D.C., has been charged with armed robbery. MPD continues to search for a second suspect in the case, who was captured on surveillance video.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the second suspect or the incident to contact police at (202) 727-9099 or submit anonymous tips via the TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
