SEVERNA PARK, MD — A longtime fan of Maryland Lottery scratch-offs has hit the jackpot, winning the $100,000 top prize on a $30 $100,000 Ca$h game ticket purchased at a Severna Park Rite Aid, officials announced Thursday.
The anonymous winner, nicknamed “Jack,” purchased the lucky ticket at the Rite Aid on 25 Jones Station Road. Upon scratching the prize check area, she was stunned to see the message declaring her $100,000 win. “I’ve never seen so many zeros,” she told Lottery officials when claiming her prize.
Overwhelmed by excitement, “Jack” quickly shared the news with close family members, including her brother, who shares her love of scratch-offs and hopes to win big someday himself. She plans to use her winnings to pay off bills, support her family, and continue enjoying scratch-offs as her favorite hobby.
As a result of selling the winning ticket, the Rite Aid retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus. The $100,000 Ca$h game, which launched in September 2023, still has 50 top prizes remaining, along with thousands of smaller prizes ranging from $30 to $5,000.
