ALEXANDRIA BAY, N.Y. — Members of the New York State Police and the Ontario Provincial Police reunited at the International Rift Bridge on Wednesday to recreate a decades-old image of camaraderie between the two forces.

The original photo, taken in the 1970s, depicted troopers and officers standing together at the U.S.-Canada border, symbolizing the strong partnership between the neighboring law enforcement agencies.

On November 20, the two groups gathered once again at the same location to capture a new version of the timeless moment, highlighting their ongoing collaboration and friendship.

“The recreated photo shows not only the bond we’ve shared for decades but also the commitment to working together for the safety of our communities,” the New York State Police wrote in a statement accompanying the release of the image.

The International Rift Bridge, connecting New York and Ontario, has long served as a symbol of cross-border unity.
