MANASSAS, Va. — A 35-year-old Manassas man has been arrested in connection with an armed burglary and domestic assault that occurred earlier this month at the Sudley Crossing Apartments, police said.
David Alejandro Marchorro Guerra was taken into custody on November 21 by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force in Prince George’s County, Maryland, after being sought for a week. Authorities had issued multiple arrest warrants following the November 13 incident.
According to police, Marchorro Guerra broke into a 35-year-old woman’s apartment in the 10800 block of Gambril Drive around 10:50 p.m. by forcing open a locked patio door. Once inside, he allegedly struck the woman in the face while armed with a handgun. Minor injuries were reported, and the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
Marchorro Guerra now faces charges including burglary while armed, brandishing a firearm, two counts of felony domestic assault and battery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and destruction of property. He is currently being held without bond, and a court date is pending.
