NEW YORK — The NYPD is seeking public assistance to identify a woman accused of a grand larceny involving a fraudulent vehicle sale in the Bronx last month.

According to police, the incident occurred on Saturday, Oct. 19, around noon in front of 1475 Sheridan Avenue, within the 44th Precinct. A 58-year-old man arranged to meet the suspect to purchase a vehicle, exchanging $3,500 for what was later revealed to be a fake title.

Authorities reported that after completing the transaction, the woman fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. The purchased vehicle was subsequently towed, with investigators determining that the title provided to the victim was fraudulent.

The NYPD released images of the suspect as part of their investigation and is urging anyone with information about her identity or whereabouts to contact them.

No additional details about the suspect or the vehicle used in her escape have been disclosed at this time.
