*Union City, NJ – A Union City man, Carlos Manzini, 76, has been arrested by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office following an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The arrest took place on Tuesday at a residence on 33rd Street in Union City.

The charges against Manzini include Endangering the Welfare of a Child/Possession of Child Sex Abuse Material, a second-degree crime. After the arrest, he was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, awaiting his first court appearance.

The case began on March 20, when the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office received a tip about the uploading of child sex abuse material from an electronic device. Detective work revealed hundreds of abusive materials on Manzini’s computer.

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez credited multiple law enforcement units, including the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Special Victims Unit, Cyber Crimes Unit, and Union City Police Department, for their roles in the investigation and arrest. The charge remains an accusation, and Manzini is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
