Peekskill Stop & Shop sells $1 million Mega Millions ticket

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. — A second-prize-winning Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million was sold in Peekskill for the Nov. 15 drawing, the New York Lottery announced Monday.

The lucky ticket was purchased at the Stop & Shop located at 1831 East Main Street. The ticket matched all five main numbers but missed the Mega Ball, securing the seven-figure prize.

Mega Millions numbers are drawn twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. Tickets are drawn from a field of one to 70, with the Mega Ball selected separately from a field of one to 25.

The identity of the winner has not yet been disclosed, but the New York Lottery reminds all players to check their tickets carefully and claim prizes within one year of the drawing.
