Brooklyn convenience store sells $19K winning lottery ticket

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A top-prize winning ticket for the Nov. 15 Take 5 Midday drawing was sold at a convenience store in Brooklyn, the New York Lottery announced Monday.

The ticket, worth $19,683.50, was purchased at Kings Hendrix C-Store, located at 2816 Atlantic Avenue. It was the only ticket to match all five numbers drawn in the midday game.

Take 5 numbers are drawn twice daily, at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., from a field of numbers one through 39. Winning tickets must be claimed within one year from the date of the drawing.

The New York Lottery has reminded all participants to check their tickets carefully, as smaller prizes may also have been awarded in this draw.
