New Rochelle, NY – Police in New Rochelle arrested 19-year-old Joey Valencia after he was linked to the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl. The crime came to light on November 7 when the young girl, who was very drunk, was taken to the hospital. There, she told doctors she might have been assaulted.

The New Rochelle Police Department (NRPD) started an investigation right away. They found out that Valencia had given alcohol to the girl, even though she was only 13.

To gather more evidence, the detectives pretended to be the girl and talked with Valencia. They told him how old the victim was, and he still wanted to meet her again, which helped the police catch him.

That evening, when Valencia showed up for the arranged meeting, he was arrested peacefully by the detectives.

The police are still looking into the case to see if there might be other victims involved. Valencia is now waiting to go to court.
