SPRINGHILL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Pennsylvania woman has been charged with homicide after allegedly beating her boyfriend’s 2-year-old son, who later died from his injuries. Brianna Rufina Bloyer, 30, is accused of killing the toddler, Bentlee Myers, following a disturbing series of online searches related to bruises and unconsciousness, according to the Fayette County District Attorney’s Office.

The incident occurred on August 16 at Bloyer’s residence on Old Lake Lynn Road in Springhill Township, a rural area near the West Virginia border. According to a criminal complaint, another adult arrived at the home early that afternoon and found the child unresponsive, with blue skin and propped-up feet. Bloyer allegedly had not called 911, despite being aware of the child’s critical state. The unidentified adult immediately called emergency services, but Bentlee was pronounced brain-dead at the hospital and died three days later on August 19.

Medical staff discovered that Bentlee had extensive bruising and severe internal injuries. An autopsy determined his cause of death to be “cardiac arrest by head trauma.”

According to the complaint, Bloyer told investigators that Bentlee had been in her care for about two weeks and described an incident on the morning of August 16 in which the child allegedly stumbled and collapsed. However, a search of Bloyer’s phone revealed a series of suspicious Google searches, including “how to get someone to come to when you pass out” on the day of the fatal incident.

Additional searches dating back to August 8 and 9 suggest an attempt to address visible signs of injury, with terms such as “what better to make bruises fade overnight,” “homemade bruise cream,” and “carpet imprint in face how long does it take to go away.”

Bloyer is being held without bond and faces one count of homicide. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not disclosed whether additional charges may be filed.
