Victim assaulted in Southeast D.C. as suspects flee with stolen items

WASHINGTON, D.C.Police are searching for three suspects involved in a robbery in Southeast Washington that took place over the weekend. The Metropolitan Police Department is asking the public’s help in identifying the individuals captured on surveillance footage near the scene.

The incident occurred on October 26 at approximately 12:10 p.m. in the 1900 block of 18th Street, Southeast. Officers responded to a report of a robbery, where the victim reported being assaulted by multiple suspects who then took his property before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene by DC Fire and EMS.

Surveillance cameras in the area captured images of the three suspects, which police have released in hopes of gathering information on their identities. Authorities have not provided further details on the stolen items or whether the suspects were armed during the assault.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of those responsible.
