Pennsylvania Mourns Tragic Death of Phoenixville Police Officer

PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. — The Phoenixville Police Department announced the tragic death of Officer Arthur Scena IV, who was killed in a vehicle crash in Warminster Township on Monday night. Officer Scena, who had served with the department since 2019, was remembered for his dedication and commitment to public service.

Born in Abington and raised in Elkins Park, Scena graduated from Cheltenham High School and continued his education at Montgomery County Community College before attending the Montgomery County Police Academy in 2010. Prior to joining Phoenixville Police, he worked as a correctional officer for Montgomery County Prison and as a police officer with the Philadelphia Housing Authority and Chester City Police Department.

In a statement, the Chester County District Attorney’s Office expressed their sorrow, saying, “Our condolences go out to his family, friends, and the department he served in since joining in 2019.” Officer Scena leaves behind his wife, Amanda, and two daughters, Riley and Reece.
