WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ – On Sunday, October 27, the Historic Village at Allaire will transport visitors to the 19th century with its 1830s All Hallow’s Eve Celebration. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the event will immerse guests in the Halloween traditions of the past, offering a glimpse into how the holiday was celebrated nearly two centuries ago.
Throughout the day, villagers will share stories and activities that showcase the rich history of Halloween and its origins. A highlight of the celebration is the “Allaire Scare Pumpkin Dare,” a carved pumpkin contest where participants bring their pre-carved creations to compete for a trophy and gift bag. Pre-purchased tickets for the event are required for contestants entering the competition.
With admission at $10 for adults and $5 for children aged 4-12, the All Hallow’s Eve Celebration offers a unique blend of history and festivity, making it an engaging outing for families and history buffs alike.
