PHILADELPHIA, PA — A 33-year-old man who was shot in the chest at an AutoZone parking lot in West Philadelphia on Friday afternoon has died from his injuries, according to police. The shooting occurred at approximately 3:35 p.m. on the 5600 block of Vine Street, where officers responded and found the victim critically wounded.

Police say the man was transported to Lankenau Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:59 p.m. Investigators have not recovered a weapon, and no arrests have been made. The Philadelphia Police Department has since assigned its Homicide Unit to lead the investigation into the incident.
