Hyattsville, MD – A resident from Prince George’s County claimed a $50,000 lottery prize from the Maryland Lottery’s Pick 5 game, which was held on Thursday, October 19. The winner, a fan of personal number sets, usually bets with numbers linked to significant dates or his license plate.

The Hyattsville man was at home when he discovered his winning numbers related to an important number from the 1970s. Despite the large win, he remained composed and plans to deposit the prize money in the bank.

The winning ticket was purchased at Crown Liquors located at 6579 Ager Road in Hyattsville. As a bonus, the store will receive a $500 commission for selling the winning ticket.
