WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ – Kelly Davis, a 53-year-old resident of Wall Township, was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment following an incident at a high school football game. The charges were filed Saturday, October 19, after an altercation at the game between Howell Township and Wall Township on Friday night.
During the post-game, Davis allegedly entered the field and confronted a 17-year-old player from Howell Township. The confrontation led to a disturbance that required police and school security to intervene. Witnesses stated that Davis’s behavior was aggressive, causing concern for players, coaches, and spectators. Officers and school staff managed the situation and escorted Davis off the premises.
After the incident, police gathered witness statements to understand the event fully. Consequently, charges were filed against Davis, who is now set to appear in Wall Township Municipal Court. Patrolman John Kelly is the investigating officer in this case.
The Wall Township Police Department emphasized their commitment to maintaining a safe environment at school events. They encourage the community to report incidents threatening the safety and well-being of youth. Davis is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court as per United States and New Jersey state law.
