D.C. Gang Leader, Drug Trafficker Sentenced to Prison

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Eugene Tracey Hill, 31, of Washington, D.C., was sentenced on Monday to 180 months in prison on multiple felony charges related to drug trafficking and firearms offenses, according to an announcement from U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves. Hill, a member of the Push Dat Sh-t (PDS) street crew, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute marijuana and oxycodone, conspiracy to use a machine gun in furtherance of drug trafficking, and related firearms offenses.

Hill, also known as “Geno” and “Cheese,” was sentenced in U.S. District Court by Judge Amy Berman Jackson. In addition to the 15-year prison term, Hill was ordered to serve five years of supervised release.

As part of his plea agreement, Hill admitted to distributing marijuana and oxycodone both in bulk to other dealers and in street-level transactions. He also acknowledged purchasing semi-automatic and fully automatic ghost guns, which were stored in “trap houses” maintained by the PDS crew in Southeast Washington, D.C.

Court documents describe Hill as a leader of the PDS crew, which operated in the Congress Heights neighborhood. Over the course of the conspiracy, the crew distributed more than 100 kilograms of marijuana and used firearms to protect their drugs, cash, and territory from rival crews. Hill admitted to purchasing and possessing machine guns, including fully automatic AR-Pistols, which were assembled by his co-conspirators.

Hill was arrested on September 15, 2022, shortly before the FBI executed a search warrant at a residence on Fourth Street, Southeast. Agents recovered two Glock handguns, 100 rounds of ammunition, nearly two pounds of marijuana, digital scales, a money counter, and approximately $15,000 from the property. Hill has been in custody since his arrest.

The case was investigated by the FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
