Truck Driver Killed in Four Car Crash in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, Md. — A fatal vehicle collision involving a commercial truck claimed the life of a 41-year-old man on Friday afternoon near the intersection of Cathedral and Centre Streets in Baltimore’s Central District.

Authorities identified the victim as Michael Bost of Baltimore. According to police, the crash occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. when Bost, the operator of the truck, was fatally injured after the vehicle drifted downhill and struck him. The truck continued moving, hitting four vehicles before crashing into a building on the unit block of W. Centre Street.

Two of the four vehicles involved were unoccupied at the time of the crash. The drivers of the other two, a 27-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, were transported to a local hospital and are listed in stable condition, police said.

Investigators from the CRASH Team are leading the investigation to determine the cause of the incident. Building inspectors were also dispatched to evaluate the structural integrity of the affected building.
