Two suspects arrested in fatal Bronx shooting

BRONX, N.Y. — Two individuals, including a 15-year-old, were arrested on Thursday in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred the previous evening in the Bronx, police said. Both suspects have been charged with second-degree murder.

The arrests follow an investigation into the death of Ali Flores, a 26-year-old Bronx resident. Officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 8:32 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, and found Flores with a gunshot wound to the neck inside 671 Westchester Avenue, within the 40th Precinct.

Flores was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities identified one of the arrested individuals as 23-year-old Francisco Deleon, who resides at the location of the shooting.

The second suspect, a 15-year-old male, was also charged with second-degree murder. Further details on the circumstances surrounding the shooting have not yet been released.
