Brick Township, NJ – A woman from Brick Township has been charged with multiple offenses following a robbery and a related burglary that occurred in Berkeley Township on Tuesday.

Jessica Napolitano, 37, was charged with robbery, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, burglary, and criminal mischief. These charges stem from events that took place in the early morning hours.

At approximately 4:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Berkeley Township police officers responded to The Corner Store on Ocean Gate Drive after receiving a report of a robbery. Upon investigation, officers determined that a female suspect, later identified as Napolitano, had entered the store, brandished a knife, and demanded money and cigarettes from the cashier. The store staff complied, handing over cash and cigarettes, after which the suspect fled.

Further investigation revealed that prior to the robbery, Napolitano had thrown a rock through the front window of the Dollar General Store on Atlantic City Boulevard. She reportedly entered the store attempting to steal cigarettes but left after failing to do so.

Napolitano was later located and arrested without incident in Lakewood Township. She was taken to Ocean County Jail, where she remains in custody pending a detention hearing.
