Atlantic City, NJ -The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Community Outreach Team, under Prosecutor William Reynolds, is actively engaging with students across the county to discuss internet safety, social media awareness, and online behavior consequences. The team aims to educate students on critical topics including digital citizenship and social media branding.
Prosecutor Reynolds is supported by Director of Community Outreach Shavonne Davis, Detective Keith Epstein, and Special Agent Richard Cornett. The group is visiting schools such as the Atlantic County Institute of Technology and Egg Harbor Township High School to conduct multiple presentations.
During their visits, presentations address the risks associated with social media apps and gaming platforms. The sessions also tackle difficult areas like sexting, sextortion, cyberbullying, teen suicide, and social media addiction.
A significant focus of the outreach is on the mental health challenges linked to excessive mobile device use. Students are provided with information and resources to assist them in dealing with these issues. For further details or to schedule a presentation, contact outreach@acpo.org.
