WASHINGTON — Reports of growing friction between the Biden and Harris teams have surfaced, with multiple sources indicating that relations between the two camps have become increasingly strained. According to a report by Axios, tensions have escalated over conflicting event schedules and disagreements regarding the direction of the 2024 campaign.

Senior Biden aides are reportedly frustrated, believing the president was “pushed out” of his re-election bid prematurely and feel they are being sidelined. On the other hand, Harris’ team has accused the Biden camp of failing to coordinate schedules, alleging that Biden’s events are being intentionally timed to overlap with Harris’. This, they claim, is undermining Harris’ efforts on the campaign trail.

The internal friction follows a recent incident in which President Biden appeared to side with Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis in a public dispute with Harris, further exacerbating tensions.

One source told Axios that a lack of coordination in the White House is creating challenges for the campaign. “The White House is lacking someone in the room thinking first and foremost about how things would affect the campaign,” the source said.

As the 2024 election approaches, the reported discord could present challenges for the Democratic ticket, with both sides appearing divided over how to best move forward.
