Bath and Bodywork's KKK Candles Removed from Store Shelves

UNION, NJ – Bath & Body Works recently found itself in hot water after releasing a holiday-themed candle, “Snowed In,” that sparked backlash online. The controversy centered around the candle’s label, which featured a snowflake design.

The New Jersey headquartered retailer also canceled most online orders for the candle.

The design was a paper snowflake cutout, but after backlash from the public, the company decided to appease those who likened them to KKK outfits.

However, some social media users pointed out that the snowflake’s design bore an unfortunate resemblance to the white hoods of the Ku Klux Klan, specifically the conical shape and eye-like cutouts seen in KKK outfits.

In response, Bath & Body Works quickly apologized and began removing the product from stores.

The company emphasized that the design was unintentional and reiterated their commitment to listening to customer feedback and ensuring such issues don’t happen in the future.
