Conservative commentator Dan Bongino issued a sharp critique of the Democratic Party and its supporters, accusing them of employing “old school communist tactics” to suppress information and stifle dissent.
In a series of recent social media posts, Bongino claimed that when Democrats label something as “misinformation,” it is often a signal that the information is actually true and should prompt further scrutiny.
“When communist Democrats and their authoritarian media allies say something is ‘misinformation,’ that’s code for the TRUTH,” Bongino wrote. He urged his followers to double down on their questioning whenever they hear the term, alleging that something is being concealed.
Bongino further criticized the Democratic Party, claiming that it has strayed from its roots, particularly those associated with former President John F. Kennedy. “Here’s the hard truth—libs own the Democrat Party, and the party of JFK is dead,” he said.
He added that the current leadership would resort to extreme measures, including jailing individuals for holding opposing views, if given the chance.
The commentator’s remarks come in the lead-up to the 2024 election, with tensions high between political parties. Bongino warned his audience that a Democratic victory could lead to further erosion of freedoms, suggesting that Americans may one day look back on the country before what he described as “tyrants burned it down.”
Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and outspoken conservative voice, has been a frequent critic of the Democratic Party and mainstream media, often challenging their portrayal of political events and policies. His latest comments reflect growing concerns among right-wing commentators about the role of misinformation labels in public discourse.
