BRONX, N.Y. — A 48-year-old Bronx man has been arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, according to the NYPD.
David Gonzalez, of 730 Coster Street, was taken into custody in connection with a robbery and charged on Monday. The arrest was made in the 40th Precinct, police said. Additional details about the incident leading to Gonzalez’s arrest were not immediately released.
In a separate case, the NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery that took place last month in the same precinct. On September 10, at approximately 6:00 p.m., an unidentified individual entered a commercial establishment at 855 Prospect Avenue, displayed a silver firearm, and stole merchandise, according to police.
The suspect fled the location on foot in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported in the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to identify the individual. Anyone with information is urged to contact the NYPD.
