CAMBRIDGE, MD – On Thursday, Cambridge Police officers responded to a physical disturbance on Light Street involving Isiah Jamaal Fields, aged 39. Fields allegedly assaulted a victim and attempted to flee before being subdued with a Taser and arrested. Officers discovered controlled dangerous substances and firearms at the scene, leading to multiple charges against Fields, including assault and resisting arrest.
A shooting incident early Saturday morning on Cross Street resulted in multiple gunshot wounds to victims, including a 33-year-old male and a 15-year-old male. Both were transported for medical treatment while a third victim, a 16-year-old male, was initially not located but later found during a stolen vehicle investigation. Further inquiries are ongoing, and charges for the shooting are pending.
George William Kane, aged 44, was arrested on charges of assault and drug possession on Sunday following an attack on a victim in the Greenwood Avenue area. Kane reportedly threatened the victim while holding a knife, leading to his detention and eventual custody at the Dorchester County Department of Corrections.
Further incidents over the weekend included a vehicle pursuit stemming from a theft incident involving multiple individuals who fled on foot.
